Join us for a special presentation that will explore the facts and legends surrounding Rumi's life, philosophy, and poetry.
The 13th Century poet Rumi is one of the most popular poets of the contemporary world. This presentation will explore the facts and legends surrounding his life, the spiritual philosophy that drove his poetry, and the symbolic meaning of the whirling ritual that originated from his greatest tragedy.
Performers
Fahad Siadat
Described by the LA times as a “fanciful and downright utopian artist and thinker“, Fahad Siadat is a composer, performer, conductor, and essayist exploring the intersection of musical and spiritual practices. He is the artistic director of the Resonance Collective, a multifaceted arts organization that seeks to unveil mystery through the arts.
Fahad has been giving performances and lectures on beloved topics at the Philosophical Research Society since 2019.
